Gabriel Malika was born in France. He studied at the Institute of Political Sciences in Paris before joining the communication business, where he specializes in branding and design.

He has been working in the region for the last seven years, his work taking him all around the Gulf and from Beirut to Karachi, Jeddah to Tehran.
Les meilleures intentions du monde (The Best Intentions in the World) is his first novel. It tells the story of seven passengers on board a cruise ship who have each come to Dubai to fulfil their dreams and aspirations. Their moving testimonies depict Dubai as a city where feelings and human relations are put to the test and where love inevitably founders on the immaculate shores of the city.
