Linda Davies is a bestselling novelist based in Dubai. Her five novels for adults have been published in more than 30 countries and optioned for film and have sold over two million copies worldwide. Recently, she has also become known as the author of the young adult Djinn Quartet, an acclaimed series of books about three teenagers living in the UAE who are drawn into battles between good and evil djinns.

Linda is the founder and creator of the Emirates Airline Creative Writing Competition for Children and Young Adults and a regular lecturer on creative writing.

She is also a prize-winning journalist (having won the Philip Geddes Memorial Prize for journalism) and has written for the National Theatre in London, the Times, the Sunday Times, the Daily Telegraph, the Independent and the Guardian.  She read Politics, Philosophy and Economics at Oxford University, and before becoming a writer was an investment banker in New York and London
