Pranay Gupte is a veteran international journalist, editor, author, and media consultant. His latest book, Global Emirates: An Anthology of Tolerance and Enterprise, is published by Motivate in Dubai, and Rupa & Co. in India. Mr. Gupte co-edited the book with Fatema Hadroom Aleghfeli of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

He is the author of eleven books and anthologies, some of them relating to the Middle East, and is at work on a major work on the contemporary Middle East.

Mr. Gupte writes for The National, Khaleej Times, Gulf News, Portfolio, Institutional Investor, and other major international publications such as YaleGlobal, the online magazine of the Yale University Center for the Study of Globalization and PostGlobal, the website of The Washington Post.

In addition to his journalism and books, Mr. Gupte writes exclusive reports on the Middle East, India-US relations, geopolitics and investment for the American and international business communities. He also co-authors books with major world figures and CEOs, the most recent of which, Power and Influence: The Rules Have Changed, by Robert L. Dilenschneider, was published by McGraw-Hill internationally.
