Roseanne Saad Khalaf is Associate Professor of English and Creative Writing at the American University of Beirut (AUB), where in 1998 she designed and taught their first creative writing courses.
She is the author/editor of eight books, among them: Transit Beirut (2003), a collection of literary snapshots of contemporary Beirut; Hikayat: Short Stories by Lebanese Women (2006), and most recently, Arab Society and Culture (2009) and Arab Youth: Social Mobilization in Times of Risk (2011), both co-edited with Samir Khalaf. Currently, she is conducting a narrative study on the views of Arab youth.
Her experience spans creative, academic and editorial work in Lebanon as well as in the US and UK.
