Ali Alsaloom is an Emirati National from Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, who has chosen to live his life differently than most.
A University of Central Florida Hospitality Management & Tourism graduate with a longstanding love of travel and culture, Ali’s work in the US tourist industry included launching a Middle Eastern themed restaurant in Orlando, Florida.
Ali has worked with the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority’s MICE department as a specialist tour guide to VIP guests on exclusive tours. He launched Maestro Commercial Enterprises – for which he was awarded the Khalifa Fund Business Award by HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi – the Ask-Ali online information portal and Embrace Arabia. In a partnership with world authority speaker and businessman Reg Athwal he launched OneTVO, an online business TV.
A live-wire presenter with a personal style that is both deep rooted in the Arabic culture and at the same time, open-minded, Ali has become a cultural liaison with the UAE’s large expatriate community. The National newspaper’s Weekend section features Ali’s column answering readers’ questions about UAE culture, and he wrote & self-published Ask Ali: A Guide to Abu Dhabi and Ask Ali: A Guide to Dubai.
In March 2011 Ali Alsaloom became the environmental awareness ambassador of the Environment.
