The Open Door Series, presented by Costa Coffee, comprises the events we have held at Dar Al Adaab since the doors of the LitFest’s year-round home were opened in October 2011.
Arabic Language Courses
The LitFest and Costa Coffee, hold Arabic classes every Monday and Wednesday from April – June 2014 with tutors from Scriptor Translation Services. The tutors at Scriptor, who have more than 20 years of Arabic teaching experience, use the latest and best methods to teach students how to read, write and speak Arabic fluently.

The Festival Reading Group meets once a month in The World Trade Club on the 33rd floor of the World Trade Centre, Dubai to discuss the books of authors attending the upcoming LitFest. The Children’s Reading Group is aimed primarily at primary school pupils in years 5 and 6 (10 to 12 year-olds) and will meet monthly during term time to discuss books by authors who will attend the 2014 Emirates Airline Festival of Literature.
