The Penguin Fringe
The Penguin Fringe is a series of free performance events held alongside the LitFest. Performers come from local schools, theatre groups, poetry collectives and more to entertain festivalgoers with their talents.
Starting on the evening of Thursday 6 March and continuing throughout the weekend, there will always be something to see around the Waterfront level of the InterContinental Hotel. The children’s Fringe takes place on the Friday and Saturday mornings and afternoons, while the adult Fringe takes place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings.
If your school would like to take part in the 2014 Penguin Fringe, please fill in the form below to let the organisers know what sort of performance you would like to put on. Before making your application please take note of the following:
- Fringe slots are normally 30 minutes, so please make your plans with this in mind.
- Closer to the Festival we will visit the site to confirm what performance spaces and equipment will be available. If your planned performance has any particular staging or technical requirements please let us know in your initial application or as soon as possible afterwards.
If you do not represent a school but would like to take part in the adult Fringe please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
