Selina Walker started her career in the production departments of William Heinemann and later of Michael Joseph when they were both independent publishing companies. She then took a career break to have her children, during which time she also did an undergraduate degree in English Literature at University College London.
She went back into the work place in the 1990s, joining Orion as an editorial assistant, and moving to Transworld in 2000 as an acquiring editor. During her 11 years at Transworld, she was the publishing director of their crime and thriller list, and was also on the programming committee of the Harrogate Crime Festival and, with Manda Scott, was a founder member of the Historical Writers Association.
She joined Cornerstone in 2011 where she heads up the Century and Arrow imprints, and publishes Helen Dunmore, who will also be appearing at the 2016 Festival, Harlan Coben, Katie Fforde, Lisa Jewell, Simon Kernick, and Ben Kane. She is also the publisher of the multi-million bestselling trilogy by EL James.
